The funniest Instagram ad ever
A couple of weeks ago, my friends went to a concert to see a popular African singer (Tekno) perform in Toronto. They had the worst time ever and to make things worse, the star performer didn’t even show up 😂😂😂😂. When I saw this post, I really thought it was brilliant. African All Star Music Festival is not particularly successful on social media but they managed to turn this fiasco into something great! I really LOVE the self-derision. Nicely done! 👍🏾
Have a break, Have a Kit Kat
I am a big fan of Kit Kat and I listen to music on Spotify 24/7. This simple video ad was refreshing, cool and really relevant to me. I loved everything about this post. Even the caption is fun (and I am not even a fan of concerts!)
Adroll makes it personal
Here I loved the fact that Adroll is actually using one of its employee to promote their solution. Piper is a real employee (I googled her). It shows that their employees (at least Piper) believe in the company’s effectiveness so much that they are ready to become ambassadors. It also reinforce the brand’s accountability. 5 tips for your next Instagram ad Campaign
This whole Instagram ad exercise helped me come up with 5 things to keep in mind when creating a social media ad campaign:
- Make sure your message is relevant to your audience. Target the right people, language, location etc.
- Use engaging content (videos, slideshows and great pictures)
- Add a clear call to action
- Leverage your caption to tell a story that is authentic and captivates with your audience.
- Make it personal
